Ronald Neil Rothenberg, MD, FACEP

Dr. Rothenberg is or has been a member of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, a Board Examiner for the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, a member of the Growth Hormone Research Society and a member of the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Rothenberg is a Clinical Professor of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Rothenberg is an Attending Physician at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Scripps Memorial Hospital, Encinitas, California and is the Founder and President of the California Health Span Institute.

Dr. Rothenberg is a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, B.A., Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, New York, M.D.

Dr. Rothenberg was the Creator and Coordinator of Postgraduate Institute for Primary Care and Emergency Physicians, UCSD School of Medicine, 1979-2000. Over 25,000 physicians attended this course. Dr. Rothenberg is widely published and a regular speaker on the subjects of anti-aging, adult stem cells, hormones and wellness.

Denis Rodgerson, Ph.D.

Director of Stem Cell Science at NeoStem, Inc. a company that specializes in the collection, processing and long term storage of adult stem cells for autulogous use (donor and recipient are the same). Dr. Rodgerson was the initial founder of NeoStem, a company whose objective is to become the leading provider of adult stem cell banking services for adults who wish to store their own adult stem cells for the future therapeutic use in the treatment of heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, cancer and other critical health problems.

Denis Rodgerson was born and received his education to the undergraduate level in Ireland. He studied at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, where he was awarded a master's and doctorate degree. He subsequently was appointed to a faculty position at the University of Colorado as Director of Analytical Toxicology and Head of Pediatric Laboratories. In 1974, Rodgerson accepted a position in the Department of Pathology at the University of California Los Angeles as Professor and Head of Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology. He later became Vice Chairman of the department and retired from active service at UCLA in 1999, remaining as Professor Emeritus. He is a fellow or member of many national and international professional organizations and has served on numerous committees at UCLA and the University of California system-wide.

Dr. Rodgerson has published more than 150 articles in the medical and scientific literature and is the inventor on several patents. He has been a consultant to many institutions and corporations, including NASA, National Bureau of Standards, Hewlett Packard, and Beckman Instruments.

Following retirement from UCLA he was a founder of StemCyte, Inc. Arcadia, California, an umbilical cord blood banking company, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President until 2002. In 2002 Rodgerson founded and became the first President and Chief Executive Officer of NeoStem, Inc. In January 2006, NeoStem, Inc. was acquired by Phase III Medical, Inc., a public company (NYSE AMEX:NBS), and Dr. Rodgerson now has responsibility for the company's stem cell science programs.

Robin Smith, M.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Smith is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of NeoStem, Inc., (NYSE AMEX:NBS) an adult stem cell collection processing and long term storage company. She is also a managing director of the Madelin Fund. Prior to this position, Dr. Smith has acted as a senior advisor and investor to both private and publicly traded companies where she has played a significant role in restructuring and or growing the companies. Additionally, she assisted multiple investment banks where she evaluated companies in healthcare, media and emerging technologies. Dr. Smith also serves on the Board of Trustees of the NYU Medical Center Board and is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases where she heads up new development efforts and board member recruitment. She has also served on the Chemotherapy Foundation Board of Trustees, The New York Theatre Ballet board, the Choose Living board of directors and the board of Talon Air.

Prior to these activities, Dr. Smith served as President & Chief Executive Officer of IP2M. During her term, the company was selected as being one of the 10 fastest growing technology companies in Houston. IP2M was sold to a publicly traded company in February of 2003. Before joining the IP2M management team, Dr. Smith was Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer for HealthHelp, Inc., a National Radiology Management company which managed 14% of the health care dollars spent by insurance companies such as Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Humana.

Dr. Smith received her post-graduate training in surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and obtained her medical degree from Yale University where she received the Janet M. Glaslow Memorial Achievement Citation, was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and chosen to be a Farr Scholar. Dr. Smith was one of the first graduates of the U.S. Quality Algorithms Managed Care Fellowship between U.S. Healthcare and Thomas Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Smith's interest in medical management led her to pursue a Masters Degree in business administration at the renowned Wharton School of Business where in sixteen months she completed a double major in health care administration and operations management as well as made the Directors List. As the creator of the bimonthly Managed Care Clinical Corner editorial, Dr. Smith was appointed to the editorial board of Disease Management. Dr. Smith has served on the Houston Technology Advisory Board in addition to the GlaxoSmithKline Advisory Board and holds memberships in National Association of Managed Care Physicians, American College of Physician Executives, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Society for Neuroscience, and the Association for Chemoreception Sciences. Additionally, Dr. Smith was a consultant to the Department of Health Policy and the Clinical Outcomes Department at Thomas Jefferson Hospital and the Utilization Department of Methodist Hospital. Kaare Kolstad, M.D.

Dr. Kolstad is an orthopedic surgeon with a practice that focuses on the treatment of sports medicine injuries. He has extensive training involving high school, college and professional athletes in New York, Philadelphia and Houston and trained under one of the founders of the discipline of sports medicine, James Nicholas. Dr. Kolstad has many peer reviewed articles and abstracts as well as a book chapter on rehabilitation of the sports shoulder.

Dr. Kolstad is the Physician for the Houston Ballet, Houston Texas and is the Team Physician for; the Houston Dynamos, Pearland High School, Pasadena High School, J. Frank Dobie High School, Sam Rayburn High School, South Houston High School and San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Kolstad was formerly the Assistant Team Physician for: the New York Jets, Hofstra University, the New York Rangers, Hunter College, the New York Islanders, Locust Valley High School in New York and the New Jersey Red Dogs. During his training Dr. Kolstad was also involved with caring for the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies.

Dr. Kolstad is a Staff Surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor at The Methodist Hospital Center for Orthopeadic Surgery in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Kolstad received his B.A. from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He earned his M.D. from the University of Connecticut in Farmington Connecticut. He trained in orthopedics at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia PA. After the completion of his residency he did a specialty fellowship, involving athletic injuries, at the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
